Welcome to the weekly Design Dispatch. This week we're talking Stock Tank pools, a floating cinema, and the show that'll inspire you to crack open a can of paint.

DESIGN NEWS:

While not exactly a new trend, we're seeing stock tank pools pop all over our social media feed this summer. If you're considering creating one of your own, check out the IG account Stock Tank Pool from the DIY's creator for all the need to know basics, and if you're looking to make it your own Domino has rounded up some inspiring examples to get you started.

California, alongside a number of other states, has mandated that residents wear masks, and a number of major retailers have followed suit around the country. If you're looking to stock up (you should be washing after every wear), here are some small businesses to consider purchasing from.

LOCAL INTEREST:

Local tea purveyor Samovar has announced that they will be shuttering all locations for the time being. Luckily they have an online shop that is still up and running so you can order everything you need to start brewing their signature chai, or one of their many other delicious blends, at home.

Do the Bay has just announced plans for a floating cinema in September. Think a drive-in theater, but with boats. You can pre-register on the site now to be notified when more details become available.

watch:

Orlando Soria is back on HGTV for a second season. The show initially titled "Unspouse My House" has been renamed and revamped, Build Me Up aims to help its guests through a variety of life transitions by creating homes that fit where they are in life right now and help them move forwards towards the life they deserve. If that sounded sappy- it totally was, but that's the kind of show this is. Expect to walk away, feeling inspired, hopeful, and tempted to create your own color-blocked wall- or maybe just paint your front door pink instead.

That concludes our weekly Design Dispatch. If there is anything you would like to add to the list, feel free to leave a comment below, and if you have a tip for a future column, feel free to drop us a line.
