One Room Challenge, Week Five: Putting it all Together + a Little Preview | Design Confetti

It’s the final week before the big reveal, and I’m happy to say things are really coming together. When shopping for nearly everything online, it can be a bit nerve-racking to see if your vision lines up with reality, and to trust that what you see on the screen will match up with what you receive in real life. In this case, after seeing all of the elements in one place, they complement each other even better than I imagined.

The textures and shades are all coming together and playing off of one another: from a wall hanging created from roving mimicking the chunky knit of an incredible weighted blanket from Sheltered Co to the deep blues throughout grounding the space and creating a little drama while the soft pinks and greens create the perfect accent.

Not to say there isn't still a lot to be done, while all of the essential pieces have arrived I still need to mat and frame the artwork, hang the remaining curtains, finish styling out the bookshelves, and pot a few plants. I’m also making a couple of last minute shopping trips between now and next Wednesday. I’m hoping to visit the SF Flower Mart and pick up some plants and blooms, make a Target run for affordable frames and check out the Alameda Flea market this weekend (as it just so happens to be the first Sunday of the month) to scout some vintage pieces to style out the shelves and mantle.
