HGTV Puts a Spin on the Classic Decorating Show

It usually goes something like this: a couple sets out to find their first home together, makes space for a new family member, attempts to meld their disparate styles… it’s nearly always a tale of coming together, growing, expanding, starting on a happy new journey.

But what of the seasons when we do the opposite? Contracting instead of expanding, starting a journey with a bit of heartache, coming apart and in the process seeking to extricate oneself from the trappings of coupledom and reclaim one’s individual style again?

Orlando Soria has an answer for that. Perhaps best known as “a man who lives inside your phone” on Instagram, he’s also author to design tome, “Get it Together” and was Emily Henderson’s assistant on the show Secrets from a Stylist.

Having been through his own share of heartache, the idea for Unspouse My House was born as a way for single clients to “overhaul their homes and heal their lonely hearts with laughter, support and beautiful design.”

While an exact airdate has not been released the HGTV series is filming now and is expected to drop in late 2019. We suggest following Orlando on Instagram for updates and because he is, in fact, a very entertaining “man who lives inside your phone.”

-Updated to add: the premier date will be June 6th 9:30/8:30c on HGTV.
