Dorm Room Decor: Modern Prep

In honor of back to school season, we’ve decided to try something new and bring you a series. Every week for a month we’ll be bringing you a new dorm room design. Keep checking back, and you can find all the current posts here. 

For the final room in our series, we decided to go classic with "Modern Prep." The room feels bright and clean with pops of color and little details that make the space. For the bedding, we went with a crisp set with a classic grosgrain ribbon trim and monogram-able shams. The room subtly mixes prints with a tonal Greek key print on the rug and a classic preppy plaid on the bench which does double duty as both seating and storage, a perfect multitasker for a small space. The pillow brings in a classic palm print and a bit of saturated color, while the wall art takes it up a notch creating pops of pink and blue in an otherwise neutral space. Finally, the bamboo framed mirror keeps things feeling bright in white while finishing off the room and creating a bit more visual interest with its unique shape.
