There's Still Time to Shop the Still We Rise Auction for Keeping Families Together

Still We Rise, self-described as a "community supported benefit auction," is hosting an Instagram auction from July 2nd-9th, meaning there are still a couple of days left to get your bid in. The auction features an impressive array of goods and services donated by small and independent makers and artists, you can browse some of the current and past contributors here

 

The current auction was created as part of the Keep Families Together movement with the stated intention of raising money and bringing awareness to families separated at the border. The auction specifically benefits the ACLU, Texas Civil Rights Project, and or RAICES, you decide which organization you want to donate to or how you would like to divide your bid amongst the organizations.

 

Here's how the auction works:

Follow Still We Rise on Instagram and browse the posts for items up for auction.

If you see something you want to bid on, comment with your bid amount, whole dollar amounts only (no change.)

The auction ends on Monday 07/09 at 9 pm so be sure to get your bids in before then.

Once the auction has ended the winners will be tagged, If you are tagged as a winner email stillweriseauction@gmail.com to claim your win.

If you are a winning bidder make your donation of the bid amount directly to one of the listed organizations and email the receipt to Still We Rise to claim your item(s), payment is due within 24 hours or the item will go to the next bidder.

On a personal note: as a parent, this issue hits home for me. I can't imagine how devastating it would be to be separated from my children, no matter the circumstances, and hope that we can all do our part to see families reunited.
