Our Design Prediction for 2020 with Redfin

Recently, Redfin reached out to us to contribute our design prediction for 2020 to their blog alongside a talented group of designers. The answers were varied, but two common themes were a focus on individuality in spaces by eschewing cookie-cutter design and all things color, which leads to our top prediction for the year...

Painting dark accents.

"While painting a room or even a wall dark can be too big of a commitment for many, choosing to use a deep shade or even black on an accent creates a dramatic focal point for the room. Painting a fireplace deep gray is a refreshing take on the painted brick trend or drawing the eye towards a view with windows framed in black. We chose a nearly black shade on our built-ins to create a dramatic display that pops, then carried the color around the room by matching it to the baseboards."
