As simple as picking up a sample sized pot of paint, a brush, and some masking tape, these color-blocked walls are one of the quickest ways to create some drama in a room. From the simplest version, with just the lower half of a room painted for a two-tone effect, to a plethora of geometric shapes, perfect for accenting anything from a few hanging plants or a coffee station to creating a tromp-de-ole style frame for a mirror.

This trend is perfect for anyone who is looking to dip a toe in the world of color but isn't quite ready to trade in their #doingneutralright card just yet. Be warned, though, once you start color-blocking your walls, you may not want to stop. Here are a few inspiring examples to get you started.
