Style: Seeing Circles, Round Bags

Math has never been my strongest subject, but I love some good geometry. Circle bags have been taking off lately and while they are Instagram candy (a cute little circle, in a square!) they also add an unexpected touch of whimsy to any outfit IRL. Here are a few of my favorite versions of this concentric style.

Bando, Amigo Circle Bag in Onyx, $95
Coming in five(!) different colors from poppy red to classic nude this suede and leatherette version adds a little hardware with its graphic addition of a zipper through the center. How’s that for modern geometry?
Baggu, Small Canvas Circle Purse in Fawn, $45
While their foldable, pocket-sized reusable bags are a genius way to never get caught empty-handed in the grocery checkout line, I’m also a huge fan of Baggu’s simple, well-made bags in materials like canvas and leather. This bag is no exception, and with options starting at $45 is the most affordable one on our list. The utilitarian fabric and neutral color are a nice foil for the quirky silhouette.
Mat and Nat, Obe Bag in Frost, $130
In the perfect shade of gray-blue to bring an accent of color to an outfit without competing with it, this Mat and Nat purse is Vegan to boot.
Mansur Gavriel, Calf Circle Bag in blush, $1,095
With a ladylike top handle, rosy hue and refined Italian leather this interpretation from cult brand Mansur Gavriel takes the shape from trend-driven piece to luxe classic.
Madewell, Juno Circle Bag in Maple Syrup, $158
If a brand loved by “Capsule Wardrobe” enthusiasts for their endlessly versatile clothing comes out with such a bag, you can be confident that you could wear it with almost anything and still look self-possessed.
